Questions restaurants ask us
Is VisibleSeed a payment processor?
No. VisibleSeed sells hardware only. The Register, KDS, and Splitter work with the payment processor and POS software you choose. We never touch your transactions, charge processing fees, or lock you to a platform.
What exactly does VisibleSeed sell?
Three things, built to work as one system: the Register (a complete POS counter bundle), the KDS (a kitchen display that replaces paper tickets), and the Splitter (a routing module that fans one POS order feed out to up to four stations). Buy them together or start with any one piece.
Do I need all three products, or can I start with one?
Start with whichever piece hurts most. Each product works standalone: the Register with any software, the KDS with any POS kitchen app, and the Splitter with any POS that prints tickets. They simply work better together.
Does VisibleSeed hardware require subscriptions or contracts?
No. You buy the hardware once and it is yours. The Splitter is configured from a local web page with no cloud dependency, and nothing in the lineup stops working if you never pay us again.
Do you have software integrations or partnerships today?
Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. Our hardware works through open standards: the Register runs any Android or Windows POS software, and the KDS and Splitter ride the standard ESC/POS print stream nearly every POS produces. A formal integration program is planned; if you build POS software and want in early, contact us.
What warranty comes with VisibleSeed products?
Two years on everything, covering defects and failures under normal commercial use. The Register bundle is covered as a whole, one claim contact for every component in the box. Advance replacement is available so a failed unit never takes your counter down for a week.
